Marketing Manager – Network Memberships
About The Role
Our client is looking for a Marketing Manager to join our welcoming, diverse, and growing team based in New York City. Reporting to the Head of Marketing, this role will lead the marketing for client’s membership subscriptions business. You will set the top-down, global strategy for client’s Network memberships, bringing new ideas that will result in growth. You will project manage a global portfolio of products and will be responsible for creating and executing marketing plans to generate results-driven marketing campaigns.
You will be the go-to, specialist marketer who the business will come to for everything relating to network marketing. You should be a confident individual who is able to work and communicate efficiently with senior stakeholders, as this will be a core part of your role.
You will be responsible for overseeing, monitoring, and reporting on the performance of the portfolio, ensuring that you are regularly amending plans in-line with results. Data will be key to your role, and you will manage the strategic data build and segmentation strategies across the portfolio.
The ideal candidate is a highly organised individual with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with experience in managing teams in a matrix environment. We are looking for a skilled and compelling copywriter that can take complex propositions and transform the messaging to appeal to our prospects.
Responsibilities and duties:
• Set the strategy for Network memberships and bring fresh ideas for growth, ensuring that the wider team understand the direction of marketing and how we will achieve the business objectives
• Efficiently manage the resources available to maximize the marketing output for Network activity
• Strategically develop, execute, manage and optimise the execution of integrated marketing campaigns for network memberships ensuring promotions hit targeted audiences on-time, on budget and achieve projected subscription goals
• Provide marketing reports on a weekly basis including subscription numbers and revenue, tactics performed, analysis, and forward-looking recommendations to increase subscribers
• Use reporting analytics tools to review, analyse, and optimize user experiences
• Analyse ROI on marketing tactics and refine promotional plans on a continuous basis
• Build out the marketing data universe for the portfolio through strategic planning and ensuring a strong ROI on our data spend
• Understand our different segments motivations for attending and use this to influence marketing
• Writing compelling marketing copy to promote B2B memberships across various channels ,including websites, emails, brochures, social media, and advertising
• Identify products at risk, and set strategies to get them back on track, re-forecasting targets and putting forward realistic projections for week-by-week sales
• Proof and sign off all marketing activities
• Take an active role in identifying new markets; ensure that you are clear on the benefits that our products and services offer and develop and implement routes to market
• Work in partnership with global internal teams including marketing, production, sales, operations, editorial, data services and design
• Collaborate with global sales team to coordinate campaigns to drive awareness of membership, sponsorship and exhibitor opportunities
• Take control of the marketing budget, with full responsibility for tracking spend and return
